CPS ANA – INDIA MY PRIDE

Where the mind is without fear and the head is held high;
Where knowledge is free;
Where the world has not been broken up into fragments by domestic walls;
Where words come out from the depth of truth;
Rabindranath Tagore (Gitanjali)

Euphoria filled the air as Rabindranath Tagore’s vision of a free and brave generation of young minds was once again enforced by the future of India- the young generation. The students of Class 1 to III proved their patriotic fervour through-‘India- My Pride’ activities. It was a visual treat for the eyes to see students decked up in the colours of our National flag. The students presented a talk show about the diverse culture and heritage of our glorious country. It was indeed a reverie through the annals of our glorious history .Instilling the pride and patriotic fervour in the vision of the spectator, the young ones had a message for all- Mera Bharat Mahan!

CPS ANA – TOY STORY 2014

An event was organized for the tiny tots to experience joyful learning with toys. UKG and Mont III Kids enjoyed making a tiny puppy with art paper which they treasured as their real pet.
Junior block kids made a moving spring paper puppet, which could move when it was pressed. Kids were really thrilled to see it moving and couldn’t control their giggling.
There was also a Show and tell event for CPS Mont III and UKG students. This activity gave an opportunity to all the students to come forward and stand in front of the class to talk about the object (toy) of his or her own choice, brought from home. The other students listened quietly and encouraged the speaker with a round of applause once he/she finished. This activity provided a real learning experience for the kids to improve their comprehending, listening and speaking skills.

CPS ANA – GRANDPARENTS DAY

In CPS,in order to honour the grandparents, a day was planned to invite them to school . The main aim was to make grandparents spend some time with their grandchildren at school. On 14th Aug the Grandparents Day was conducted. We could see all the proud grandparents walking in happily to the Sci Fi theatre holding their grandchild’s hand. The cultural program started with a prayer song by Art Link students. The grand parents were entertained with a dance number and a choir by the students. We also had few grandparents who came forward to share the stage and performed for their grandchildren. “Pick and perform” game was organized and it was really a fun filled event. We are sure this day would have been a memorable one for both the grandparents and the grandchildren. The kids took home an artwork which says “you are the world’s best grandparents” to give it to their grandparents, which surely would have touched their grandparents heart.

CPS ANA – BLOW YOUR BUBBLE DAY

CPS strongly believes that Teaching should not be limited to textbooks and blackboards and it should go beyond that. With our fun filled school activities for kids, learning in school becomes an interesting and enjoyable exercise. “Blow Your Bubble day” was a new and interesting event that was planned last week for the pre primary children.
Almost every kid loved to blow bubbles. Junior Block kids (Mont I, Mont II and LKG level) had the bubble blowing fun activity on 30th July 2014. Same day, Mont III & UKG had the interesting session of making bubbles and blowing them.
Junior block had fun blowing the bubbles and running around to burst them. The Kids enjoyed in looking out for the bubbles to burst and jumped up high to reach for the bubbles, were real fun to watch. The teachers too became kids and joined them in playing and bursting the bubbles. Blowing the bubbles was little easy for few kids, but some found it little difficult to blow with their tiny mouth and the disappointment on their face was a real cute expression.
Mont III and UKG in the main block had an experimental activity of making bubbles and blowing them. The teachers explained them how to make bubble with different solutions, like mixing water with liquid soap, shampoo and soap powder. The children were in their high spirits in holding these bubbles in their tiny hand and trying to blow them on their friends.
