The birthday of Lord Ganesha was celebrated with great gusto on 28th August 2014 by the tiny tots of preprimary department of Chennai Public school Thirumazhisai. The spirit of festivity surrounded the assembly hall with the fragrance from the agarbhathi and flowers. The program began with the pooja done to the Lord praying for education, knowledge, wisdom and wealth. The dance performed by Swetha of Mont III enhanced the festive mood. Slokas recited by the little ones invoked God and added fervor to the celebration. Skit enacted on “How Ganesha got his Vahana”, and “Why Moon got the curse” highlighted the value not to criticize others. The day came to an end with little hearts internalizing spirituality and little hands carrying the Prasad.
