CPS ANA – TEACHER’S DAY CELEBRATION

Reversal of roles at CPS on 5th September……

“ A good teacher is like a candle – it consumes itself to light the world for others”.
Teachers’ Day is celebrated as a tribute to the valuable contribution made by teachers to the society by imparting knowledge and enlightening and shaping the career of students.

For students, Teachers’ Day is an occasion to pay reverence and gratitude to teachers for their selfless effort in shaping their career and enriching the education system in the process.

This was very true in the CPS Anna nagar campus. Every CPSite had a smile and a wish on their lips which showed their regards and respect for their teachers. This was a special day as the students swapped their roles for a day. The students of senior classes were given the allocations of teachers. The teachers took a back seat and the student teachers took over.
It was a nostalgic feeling for the teachers as the memories of their student life crept in. All the student teachers did a commendable job. The classes were highly enriching and interactive. This celebration at Cps was a proof of love and respect of the students towards their teachers.

A group of students also listened to the speech of our Prime Minister Narendra Modi who addressed teachers and students across the country on Teachers’ Day. To listen to his speech follow the link… http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gxa2GpiFDFw

In Chennai Public School we made an elaborate preparation for the Teachers Day celebration. . The ceremony kicked off with a warm Teachers’ Day speech paying respect and thanking teachers for their contribution. This was followed by a range of colourful cultural programs, feast and other activities which made the event special and memorable.

CPS TMZ -TRIP TO THE ZOO

Field trips are a regular part of many programs for young children. It serves a variety of purposes, such as exposing children to new things and helping children to see familiar things in new ways.
The first enlivening and exhilarating trip for the academic year 2014-15 was organized on 22nd August 2014 for the students of UKG and Mont III to Vandulur zoo. The excitement seen on the faces of the children became very evident when the bus started moving out the campus. The travel was filled with fun and frolic as they recited rhymes , spoke about the place they are going to visit. A magnificent tiger was the first one they saw as they traveled into the Zoo in a battery operated vehicle. Children were amazed by the sight of the white tiger playing with its cubs. As they walked they saw elephants, giraffe, bear, deer, monkeys etc. The reptile house with snakes and crocodiles was worth watching. The “oohs” and “aahs” from the children filled the air as they crossed by the peacocks, ducks and cranes.
Students came back to school with a fantastic experience and refreshed themselves with a fruit juice and snack served . They boarded their buses with rich experience and story to narrate to their parents.

CPS ANA – SUPERKIDS @ JUNIOR ACADEMY

Superkidz at Junior Academy are rocking!!! The kids have settled down finally and its fun all the way. The love and the camaraderie of the Superkidz has grown into a bonding relationship in a very short time. The enthusiasm in doing their activities has no bounds. The pride in them when they stepped on the dais to sing “Nanha munna rahi hoon.” for the Independence Day Celebration,…was in itself a battle to overcome shyness and stage fear…and bingo they did it!!! There was joy on their faces when they floated paper boats on the little puddle of water .The interactive session with the Dentist, during The International Smile Week, triggered their awareness on oral hygiene. They had a huge smile as they got a certificate from the tooth fairy and they made a tiny tooth pouch for their first tooth that falls.

The songs sung by theSuperkidz made many a heads turn ..as they travelled by bus for the library visit on The International Book Lovers Day. The ever encouraging Librarian helped the students to browse through the books and there eyes grew wide open as they fingered through big colorful pages. The visit served the purpose, as Superkidz have started asking for story books to read….mission accomplished!!!

World Joker’s Day-was a day of laughter and giggles… the little Superkidz couldn’t stop themselves and laughed till their tummies ached watching Charlie Chaplin’s “Circus”. They giggled and had fun as they all got dressed up like a clown.

It was a mystery for our littleSuperkidz , as they watched the way the paint spread as the solid ice block melted on it .They made beautiful ice painting on International Ice cream Day.

” The pursuit of truth and beauty is a sphere of activity in which we are permitted to remain children all our lives”. Truly said by Albert Einstein. ..AND OUR LITTLE SUPERKIDZ LIVE UP TO IT!!!
