The Pre-primary department celebrated “MY LIVING SPACE” event on 13th July 2017 in a more fun and excited way.

The event created cognizance among the eager pioneers about their environment and the different rooms at their home .Games like “FIX ME IN MY RIGHT PLACE” AND “EXPLORE WHO I AM ’’  were conducted in which children eagerly participated. Different activities were conducted level wise like coloring, drawing the house and pasting the images of different rooms in the worksheet.

As recapitulation session children repeated the names of all the different rooms which was the ending of the event and beginning of the new learning concept.

The Pre primary department celebrated “EMOJIS” event on 6th July 2017   with full  zest and fervour .All the children assembled in the quadrangle area. The Principal Ms. Chitrakala  and Senior VP Ms. Suchithra were invited to grace the ocassion and to encourage the students .

The event started with the rhyme “If you are happy and you know it” enacted by

pre.kg/Mont 1 children.After that L.K.G/Mont 2 students sang and enacted the rhyme : “Iam happy, how are you today?”.Next came the U.K.G/Mont 3 students with emoji masks hanged on the body.They expressed how they were feeling according to the masks they were wearing. The masks displayed the emotions happy ,sad, angry, cry and surprise. All the children performed well and enthusiastically participated in the event.

Smiley faces were given to the children as take home.Children happily carried them in their hands and went home.

7th July, 2017, the most coveted day for the trail blazers, the leaders, the innovators, finally arrived and the Investiture Ceremony was held at the school quadrangle with great enthusiasm and spirit. The programme began with the Guard of honour . Lt. Col. Rohit Gupta was escorted and guided by our  Correspondent, General Manager, Principal, Senior Vice –Principal, Head Mistress, followed by the Student Council Members. The troop of office bearers led by Our Head Boy – Ram Kishore and Head Girl – Rithu C.R. performed a smart crisp march past. Our Head Boy and Head Girl delivered the welcome address. The tri coloured National Flag, was hoisted by our Honourable Chief Guest. Lt. Col. Rohit Gupta, Followed by unfurling of School Flag and all the four house flags.The Chief Guest, The Principal, Correspondent and General Manager of CPS, embellished the badges of office.Our esteemed Chief Guest sworn in the school cabinet by administering the oath. Our beloved Principal – Mrs. Chitrakala Ramachandran advised the students that investing these responsibilities, the school has provided them an opportunity to imbibe in them the true qualities of leadership that can help them to blossom as global citizens Lt. Col. Rohit Gupta congratulated the new torch bearers of the school and pepped them up to shoulder responsibilities. He inspired them to be leaders within the boundaries of the school but to be great leaders of the world. Miss. Sushmitha, Head Girl of the Matriculation Board, proposed the vote of thanks. The programme came to a close with the National Anthem. It also turned out to be a memorable occasion for the young leaders

“Colours are the smile of nature which influences the soul”
The children of CPS Pre-primary wing celebrated learning of colours and shapes through thoughtful activities and events coming dressed in the day’s colour code.
The children from Mont III smiled, giggled and soaked up some sun energy as they replicated the sun through a sun-formation drill dressed in bright yellow. They also learned to make a finger puppet of a crow and frivolously mimicked the bird as they took the puppet home. They also enjoyed doing a house puppet with different shapes.UKG had lot of fun filled activities based on colours like finger print and collage work and took home an origami carrot.
LKG students had the fun of colouring with crayons on the wall, making different colour collage. They carried home a wall hanging on shapes. Mont II children had a tiny booklet of activities based on colour & shapes and carried home the same.
Activities and teaching on shapes enabled children to be more in tune to the world around them, and be able to appreciate artistic work as they proudly made a house using shapes.

Taking on this quote, Noodle Around activity was conducted for Middle School recently in their activity hour. Topics chosen were Historic sites of India, Advertisement and Promotion of Tourism in India.
Each class had different activities and the students designed posters of different monuments of India and the world.Students also exhibited their creativity by coming up with attractive advertisements for promoting and boosting tourism.The first prize was won for the creation of various monuments in the word ‘GOOGLE’

In tune with this thought, the Investiture Ceremony for the Academic Year 2017-18 was held on 5th June 2017. It was presided by Chief Guest Col Rajesh Thomas, Correspondent Mr. Balaji Dagupati, General Manager Shri N P Dayalan and Principal Mrs. Asha Nathan. The investiture ceremony signifies the reliance and confidence that the school consigns on the newly elected office bearers Head Boy, Shreyas Sangameshwaran; Head Girl, Ritu Jospeh; Head Boy-Juniors, Sharan Balaji M; Head Girl-Juniors, Vedikavarshini S. The council members took the oath to discharge their duties honestly, impartially and to uphold the values of the school. The Principal Mrs Asha Nathan congratulated the new office bearers and also thanked the out-going members of the student council for their excellent service to the school. This wonderful ceremony came to an end with a note,”It is good to remember that leaders grow, they are not made “.

‘Music is a world within itself with a language we all understand’

The Primary wing (3, 4 &5) of CPS Thirumazhisai organized a music competition ‘MUSIC RENEZVOUS’ on 23.6.17 (FRIDAY) between 1:30 and 3:30 pm in the school premises. Children were encouraged to give either a solo or join as a group to bring out their talent in different journals of music. Children participated enthusiastically and were encouraged by primary facilitators. Ms. Josely Sharon, Mr. Damodaran and Mr. Joshua were invited to judge our young music proficient’s. Children were motivated with a positive thought by the judges who also explained rules and regulations of the competition very clearly. The competition between the group singers was judged first and the competition between the solo singers proceeded.  The judges were awestruck hearing to the young talents. The motivating comments given by the judges after each performance boosted the energy of the exuberant participants. The competition came to an end after the consolidation of the scores by the judges. The winners were awarded with the title ‘CPS SUPER SINGER JUNIOR’.

Chennai public school Thirumazhisai Pre-Primary wing celebrated Ramzan Eid with great pomp and zest on 23rd June 2017 in the quadrangle area.

It is a festival of love and goodwill. It gives us a message to love all and hate none. It exhorts us to bid goodbye to hatred, jealousy and enmity and bring in an era of love and sympathy. Children hugged each other and exhibited their love saying Eid Mubarak.

This event helped children to understand the culture and to respect it. Children dressed up in traditional attire and recited the “BISMILLAH” song.
