Freedom is not an unlimited license, an unlimited choice, or an unlimited opportunity. Freedom is first of all a responsibility before the God from whom we come. The students of grade IV gave a stupendous performance on diverse issues based on the theme “The price of Freedom”. The parents were enthralled to watch their young ones perform on stage exhibiting their innate talents. They entertained the audience with a classical musical medley and a western song instilling the spirit of patriotism. The “Villupattu” enacted by the students in Tamil on the growth of India from the clutches of the British, had the audience completely glued to the performance. A musical mime on the reality of child labour in our country was very aesthetically brought out making the parents shed a tear. The dance performance on the freedom to enjoy and appreciate anything that is beautiful , serene and ethical was a feast to the ears and eyes. The theme of the special assembly made the students realize that Freedom stands for something greater than just the right to act however one chooses—it also stands for securing to everyone an equal opportunity for life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.
