On 11th December, 2017, Monday Chennai Public School-TMZ organized a field trip for the classes 6 and 7 to the Integral Coach Factory Railway Museum, Villivakam, Chennai, for the academic year 2017-18. The Indian Railways has a great history beginning during the British era and today is one amongst the largest railway network of the world catering to the 2nd largest populous country. The idea of the trip was to give exposure to the students to the historic evolution of the railways over the years and its achievements.

The teachers and students were welcomed by Mr. Venkat Ramanan, ICF upon arrival and he guided the students to the various galleries in the museum. The students had the privilege of seeing the original ICF coaches and various wooden models of trains. They were explained about the age old system of tracks and signals by the guide. The students could not believe those days of train travel when they saw the exhibits. They also enjoyed the tunnel ride and playing in the park.
