The Pre Primary Graduation Ceremony of CPS Anna Nagar was held in grandeur. The Chief Guest for the ceremony was Mr Krishnakumar Balasubramanian, Artistic Director, The Little Theatre. In his convocation address, he accentuated the significance of good parenting. The little graduates of UKG & Montessori III shared their sweet memories that they cherished during their two years of joyful journey at CPS and expressed their gratitude to all their mentors. The celebration was made more colourful and enticing when the venue glittered with the smiles of the preschoolers reflecting the glint in the eyes of their eager and proud parents. The pride and happiness seen in our young graduates did reveal the true success of this event.
‘It takes a big heart to shape little minds.’
The above addage was all too evident at the Kamarajar Arangam on12th March 2018 when the tiny tots of CPS displayed their talents zestfully. The occasion being, the 8th Annual Day of CPS Pre Primary wing.
The Chief Guest, Mrs Magdalene Jeyarathnam, emphasized on the fact that children should be channelized at the right age in order to bring out the best in them.
The cultural extravaganza, WOW (Wonders Of the World) projected a panoramic view of the various cultures around the world. The vibrant show stole the hearts of the spectators and left them spell-bound.

Graduation Ceremony of Chennai Public School, Thirumazhisai was on 19th February 2018. Dr. Bhavanishankar Subramanian, Senior Principal of Lalaji Memorial Omega International School, Chennai was the Chief Guest who enthralled the gathering with his wonderful speech. It was a proud moment for the teachers and parents who witnessed the students being awarded the graduation scrolls.
The students expressed their gratitude to the management and all the teachers for having supported and guided them throughout their school life. Teachers made the student life more cherishable, by conferring them with apt “Fun Titles” and wished them the blessings and good luck for their future endeavours. In a symbolic gesture, the teachers handed on “The Lamp of Knowledge”, as it were to the students in the train to carry forward the wisdom gathered from their teachers in the years to come and in the places where their lives will lead them.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Ms. Rishika Gupta.
Chennai Public School, Thirumazhisai participated in the West Chennai Sahodaya Cluster 2017-18 Athletic meet held at SDAT Stadium, Chetpet on 23rd January 2018. The winners on different categories from our school are mentioned below,
- Anvee Agarwal of class VI won Silver medal for Shotput.
- Jitendra Nayak of class VI won Silver medal for 100mts dash.
- Isabelle Jaison of class VIII won Gold medal in Shotput.
- Amanda P of class IX won the Gold medal for long jump and 200mts.
- Naman Singh of class VIII won Gold medal for Shotput and bronze medal for 200mts dash.
The Individual Championship was grabbed by Amanda P of class IX.
“There is no pressure when you are making a dream come true”
A brilliant Football Tournament held in Chennai Public School, Thirumazhisai on 9th February 2018. Eight schools participated in the tournament. Mr. Gopi, the Physical Director welcomed the gathering. All the teams showed their excellent skill and performance.
The Football Tournament was held in two different categories – Under-12 and Under-14 for boys. Under-12 category Chennai Public School, Thirumazhisai was the winner and Chinmaya Vidhyalaya, Annanagar was the runner. Under-14 category Bhavan’s Rajaji Vidhyashram, Kilpauk was the winner and Chinmaya Vidhyalaya, Annanagar was the runner.
The Chief Guest, Principal Mrs. Chitrakala Ramachandran encouraged the students for the laudable performance and gave the prizes. Senior Vice Principal Mrs. Suchithra Santhosh distributed the prizes and appreciated them for the victory and making the day a memorable one.
Chennai Public School, Thirumazhisai won the Sahodaya Trophy in West Chennai Sahodaya Cluster Basketball Tournament held at Bhavan’s Rajaji Vidhyashram School on 15th February 2018. Our school had to play three matches. In the finals, CPS played against the home team Bhavan’s Rajaji Vidhyashram and we were the winners.
