Amanda Faith Samuel of Chennai Public School, Thirumazhisai from Class IX have been privileged as “Star Correspondent” by Times NIE. She is expressing her views & thoughts on various happenings around the world every week in “Times of India-School is Cool”.
Now she had shared her thoughts on “A constant subject of her fascination in The Universe”.
An art and craft expo was organised by the Pre-Primary department of Chennai Public School, Thirumazhisai. The expo had a wide display of craft and creative works like spray painted charts, decorative Christmas tree greetings etc., done by the students as well as teachers. Artistic view of the students like colour contrast and area defining were enhanced through this expo, which also cheered their hearts and kindled a spark in their minds.

Amanda Faith Samuel of class IX from CPS Thirumazhisai had shared her thoughts on her favorite movie that had motivated and inspired her on the title “MAGIC ANd BEUTY BROUGHT TO THE SCREEN”.
The 70th Republic Day of our country was celebrated with great honour and respect at the CPS premises. The Chief Guest Dr. M. Gautaman, Head of Sociology department, Loyola College
hoisted the National flag and rendered the Republic day message. In his address, he said “children learn history and civics to know their roots and groom them to be great citizens of India”. He also spoke eloquently about the relevance of the Indian Constitution. On this remarkable day, students were felicitated with the Academic Excellence Awards for the year 2017-18. The school echoed with patriotic fervour and the premises was adorned in the hues of the tri-colour.

Harvard Model Congress Asia, the U.S. government simulation conference run entirely by the Harvard students took place in the National University of Singapore recently. CPS Schools Group was nominated to be a part of HMCA 2019 that provided the golden opportunity to know about government and international relations, navigate into the pressing global issues and offer a forum to discuss possible solutions. CPSites at HMCA articulated their views and engaged in the productive debate that is a vital part of leadership, government, and civic engagement.
The three-day conference was an exciting event of immense proportions in which more than 600 hundred students from around the world assumed the roles of American and international leaders to address significant global issues while learning how the US government and various international organizations operate. They participated in debates, delivered speeches, and converged to write bills with the aim of passing resolutions and legislation to solve these issues.
The event was complemented by an informative session during the opening ceremony about college life and the application process featuring students from both Harvard and NUS. Apart from attending HMCA, CPSites also visited the Night Safari as well as Universal Studios as a part of fun trip. To conclude, HMCA was an experience they will never forget.

Four students of Chennai Public School,Thirumazhisai, won the 1st Prize in the Car Mania Event, in the Robotics And Artificial Intelligence Foundation (RAAIF) organized by Robotz India, Chennai, at Anna University on 11.01.2019.
Pari Gaurav, Shourya Singh, Anirudh S Menon and Prahlad Prabhakar, as a team, had presented a Robot in the model of a car named ‘CPS Mania’, which won an overwhelming appreciation.

The entire universe is built on sound, which is nothing but vibration. By vibrating a certain combination of sounds, we are able to tune into various levels of intelligence, or consciousness. Chanting is a pleasure that transcends the senses, it takes us beyond the bounds of time and space . Thus it soothes in a most profound way. Students of Chennai Public School, Anna Nagar won the Interschool Vedic Mantra Chanting Competition organized by D.A.V Group of Schools.
