CPS, Anna Nagar – 8th Annual Sports Meet.

“Ability is what you are capable of doing, Motivation determines what you do, Attitude determines how well you do it”. The 8th Annual Sports Meet of Chennai Public School, Annanagar was filled with buzzing excitement and exhilaration amidst thrill shrills and cheers. The program was graced by eminent chief guests Mr. A. Rajan (Asian Gold Medalist, Athletics & Chief Coach, SDAT) Mr. Balavinayagam T (President, Throwball Association & Federation of India) and Mr. Bala Manishankar A (General Secretary, ESIC Tamil Nadu & Vice President, All India ESIC). Principal Mrs.Asha Nathan welcomed the guests and they were felicitated by Shri. Devarajan, Chairman, CPS Group of Institutions. Inter house March Past marked the start of the events followed by the lighting of the Olympic torch. The young and budding athletes of CPS participated in various athletic events making the atmosphere around euphoric and elated. The drill, yoga and pyramid performances by the students were a colourful treat to the eyes. The highlight of the day was the presentation of the Dhyan Chand and Abhinav Bindra awards to the 6 Gems of CPS for their exceptional contribution to sports, bringing laurels to the school and the nation. It was a day engulfed in sportsmanship spirit and cheerful smiles as the students departed with medals and trophies.

CPS ANNANAGAR-Kids Expo- A Day to Cherish.

“What makes a child gifted and talented may not always be good grades in school, but a different way of looking at the world and learning. “
CPS KIDS EXPO provided a wonderful platform for pre-primary students of Chennai Public School, Anna Nagar to display their extracurricular talents. The expo had numerous informative displays on interesting topics like pollination, photosynthesis, life cycles of butterflies etc. and the children enthralled the visitors with their knowledge on these topics. The students displayed great confidence while explaining to the visitors, the various models that they had created. They also entertained the audience with a dance performance, showcasing the various dance mudras which they had learnt at school.

A Magic show, toy train rides, a merry go round and a jumping castle were set up on school grounds on the day of the event, adding to the overall experience of the expo. This year’s expo was indeed a day of fun and pride for students and teachers alike.
