“Winning isn’t getting ahead of others; it is getting ahead of yourself.”
Sports may often be considered nothing more than an ordinary game, but they’ve played a major role in our society. It has the power to transcend, motivate, uplift and inspire people to become legends.
Chennai Public School has left no stone unturned in identifying potentialities and encouraging legends in the making. When one does something best in life, one doesn’t really want to give that up and for Preyesh S, it is Table Tennis. His passion for the game has elevated him to great heights. His entry into table tennis at a tender age of six was remarkable phenomenon as he had already excelled in the field when his peers were trying to master the rudiments of the game. Soon after, he left an indelible mark as the number one player in Tamil Nadu- an envious position he has been retaining for the last ten years.
One can’t put a limit on anything. The more one dreams the farther one gets. Hard work undoubtedly is the essential ingredient that has made Prayesh a champion. It is his relentless and untiring practice session that had earned him the Gold Medal in the UTT National ranking Table Tennis Championship 2019 held at Howrah.
His most recent and covetous title is winning the 2019 ITTF Junior Circuit Premium, Oman Junior and Cadet open. This is just the beginning of bigger aspirations for the child prodigy Prayesh who constantly nurtures the dream of representing India at the Olympics. The key to realizing a dream is to focus not on success but significance.
