“Today a reader, tomorrow a leader.” – Margaret Fuller
The ability to hear and manipulate the sounds in spoken language has been proven to help young children become better readers. A child’s skill in phonemic awareness is a good predictor of later reading success or difficulty. CPS gives a good foundation in phonics right from pre primary. “Phonic Fair” a weeklong activity session on just phonics was organized for the pre primary kids. Very interesting and fun filled activity like Dice game, hopping, matching and sorting based on phonic sounds were organized. Entering the class with password (aeiou) is exhilarating very kid in the morning. Each and every kid took part in the activities and enjoyed exploring the phonic play & learn zone. Reading should not be presented to children as a chore, a duty. It should be offered as a gift.
