‘There are many little ways to enlarge your child’s world. Love of books is the best of all’ – Jacqueline Kennedy
Reading is one of the most important critical skills that children must develop, early in their education, as it sets the foundation for all future learning. Classroom sessions with a focus on reading have always been an integral part of the curriculum. In the current scenario, with digital learning gaining prominence, CPS transformed this reading focus to a virtual environment.
To commemorate Reading Week, an online reading competition was conducted for the primary wing students. They were given short reading assignments based on their recommended reading levels. Children enjoyed technology enabled reading with clear articulation, correct accentuation and voice modulation. The competition encouraged them to practice pronunciation and listen to others too.
