Originally operated in warfare, air guns were commonly used in target shooting. The projectile force of these weapons can rival many conventional handguns. Representing India in the 10 m Air Pistol International competition in Toronto, Canada, Neel N Doshi of Chennai Public School, Anna Nagar, bagged the bronze medal in the sub-junior category from among ten countries who participated in the event. Neel Doshi was also the second youngest participant in the air pistol category. This amazing feat is just one step on your journey Neel and there will be many to follow. The school is indeed proud of your success and wishes you many more such accolades.
“I found I could say things with colours that I couldn’t say any other way” – Georgia O Keefe
A wise man once said ‘the world is but a canvas to the imagination”. The students of Grade I-V ,Chennai Public School participated in the ‘ARTVAGANZA” competition that was held in the month of April. The various components of the event were, Colouring, Fun with shapes and Painting on different themes titled ‘Green city, Clean city’ and ‘Happiness to me’. The little artists were enthralled and excited about the event and participated with zeal to create, colour and draw their masterpieces. The objectives of the event were focused on fine motor skills, visualising, nurturing, enhancing and appreciating their creative drive and stimuli.
The competition was an extravagance for the little painters as they have used their brilliance of painting blended with the perceptions displayed on the painting sheet. Further the way the little artists displayed the uniqueness and beauty of their own imagination was commendable.
