CPS Thirumazhisai – Flower Dissection

“Bloom like a flower; unfold your own beauty”

The inherent talent of the students of CPS is nurtured through a plethora of classroom activity which is integrated with the school curriculum. As part of this integration, Grade IV students dissected the hibiscus flower. This exciting hands-on-activity helped the children to identify the main flower parts and thereby conceptualize the process of pollination and seed formation. Students utilized this experiential learning to develop their creativity and analytical thinking.

CPS Thirumazhisai – Craft Junkies

“The aim of art is to represent not the outward appearance of things , but their inward significance” – Aristotle

The Primary department of Chennai Public School, Thirumazhisai organised “Craft Junkies” recently to sensitize our young minds about recycling. A craft competition with the theme of “Underwater Animals” using waste materials was conducted for the students to learn the importance of creating “Best out of waste”. Craft is passionately creating something with your hands. Children had shown their interest in making flower petals and aquatic animals, using fevicol, papers, oil pastel crayons, water colours and pista shells. The tiny tots were energetic throughout the event by engaging themselves with different creative activities. The day was colourful and best learning experience for the students.
