CPS Thirumazhisai – Hindi Diwas

The Hindi Department of Chennai Public School, Thirumazhisai celebrated the Hindi Diwas recently. The students showcased their talents by enacting a skit ,dance and songs. The competitions like slogan writing, cartoon story, pictorial poem and short story writing were also conducted. The Middle and Secondary school students performed the street play to create awareness on waste management.

Overall it was a good learning experience for the students!

CPS-ANNANAGAR-Shrish in Top 60, Inspire Awards – MANAK

The brilliant and spectacular achievement at national level by outstanding students of Chennai public school is indeed a monumental triumph.
The INSPIRE Awards – MANAK, a flagship scheme of the country jointly implemented by the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India & the National Innovation Foundation (NIF) – India focusing on nurturing the ideas and innovations of school students and motivates them to pursue Science and a career in Research, providing opportunities developing new vistas for aspirants.

During 2020-21, a total of 6.53 lakh ideas and innovations were scouted from all States and Union Territories of India and 53,021 students were identified to develop prototypes of their ideas; amidst the horde Pranav Mylarassu (11A) and Shrish Madhan (11D) of #ChennaiPublicSchool, Annanagar reached to top 550 students eligible to participate in the NLEPC (National Level Exhibition and Project Competition) held at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi.

CPS is proud and cheery on the achievement of Shrish Madhan who flourishingly got selected to the top 60 across the nation and received the award from Dr. Jitendra Singh, Hon’ble Union Minister of State & Ministry of Science & Technology and Earth Sciences at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi on 16-Sept-2022. Recognition is the greatest motivator for every student to strive,achieve and triumph.

CPS Thirumazhisai – Commerce Fest

On 6th September 2022, Chennai Public School Thirumazhisai conducted the Commerce Fest in its school premises with the aim of involving every student in Commerce related activities in hopes to spread awareness on the ways of the world. The theme for this year was SDG Goal Number 8- Decent Work and Economic Growth. Students were involved in activities like Stock Market, Shark Tank, a Puppet Show which depicted the evolution of money, Fireless Cooking, Best out of Waste, Visual Retailing, and a life sized game of Monopoly. The highlight of the Fest was the grueling debate on “After 4 phases of lockdown due to COVID, unlock begins. What is its impact on the economy of India?”, where the Class 11 and 12 students of Commerce went head-to-head, in which Class 12 emerged victorious. The event was a grand success which was well liked and its future editions are anticipated by the school.

CPS Thirumazhisai – My Little Farm

In appreciation of farmers, preprimary department of Chennai Public School, Thirumazhisai engrossed into various activities on the event ‘My Little Farm’.

Our little kiddos transforming into merchants, customers, farmers showcased their proficiency in handling fruits, vegetables, weighing scale and money resembling a real life experience making the event enjoyable as well as educational. Students expressed their enthusiasm and enjoyed the day with great fun.

CPS ANNANAGAR-“FLORAL FRAGRANCE”



Flowers are the best way for expressing emotions. PP2 and PP3 students of #ChennaiPublicSchool, Anna Nagar explored the colour, size, texture, fragrance and parts of flowers on ‘Floral Fragrance’.

As Dr. Haviland-Jones said, “Common sense tells us that flowers make us happy. CPS Thirumazhisai – IPN Inspire Awardees of CPS

Chennai Public School, Thirumazhisai joins hand in congratulating the teachers honoured with IPN Inspire Awards 2022 from Indian Principal’s Network, a nationally acclaimed body of school leaders.

More than thousand nominations, 208 schools across the country, among 113 teacher finalists, Ms. Nehashree, Primary Mathematics teacher made it to the 5th position under the category ‘Teacher Innovator of the Year’ and Ms. Hema Rajakumari, Coordinator for Primary section bagged the 1st runner up position under the category ‘Forerunner of the Year’. CPS is always committed to uphold the high standards in education to provide students the opportunity to lead their learning; and achievements like these inspire every teacher to put in their best efforts.

CPS Thirumazhisia – CPS Girls Basketball Wins Runner-up Title

From a total of six teams participated, chennaipublicschool, Thirumazhisai bagged the runner-up title in Thiruvallur District Basketball Tournament 2022 conducted by the ICF Colony Basketball club affiliated to Tamilnadu Basketball Association. CPS Girls U13 Basketball team went on attack right from the beginning of the match making it to the finals. Best Player of the Tournament was awarded to Diya D of Class VIII. Congratulations team!
