CPS Thirumazhisai – Hosts & Wins CSSC Thiruvallur Cluster Football Tournament

CPS Thirumazhisai hosted the CSSC Thiruvallur Cluster Tournament on the 3rd of December 2022. The exhilarating match commenced with 13 teams in each Under 14 and Under 17 categories. The match was full of excitement and curiosities. Even nature blessed us with a light shower. Team CPS Thirumazhisai, with their rigorous training, stole the event by winning both Under 14 and Under 17 categories with score of 3-0 and 4-2 with tie breaker, respectively. While the runners-up were Maharishi School of Excellence, Thiruverkaru and Maharishi International Residential School, Sunguverchathiram in U-14 & U-17, respectively. Clean Sheet Award is bagged by Master Tamizh Kumaran N of Class XII C in the U-17 and Best player of the Tournament is awarded to Master Sridev D of class X B in the U-14. Best Coach award was bagged by Mr. Rajesh Kumar R of CPS Thirumazhisai. The winners and runners were appreciated for their laudable performances and our Principal Ms. Chitrakala Ramachandran felicitated the trophies to the young players.

CPS Thirumazhisai – Sigma Racing bagged ‘Best R & D Award’ in F1 in Schools, National Level

“The secret of getting ahead is getting started.” – Mark Twain.

The F1 in Schools competition is a global-level competition that takes place annually. The students of Chennai Public School Thirumazhisai participated in this competition for the first time and made it all the way through to the National Finals at Amity University, Noida. It has been nothing short of a fantastic learning experience for the whole team. Sigma Racing has learnt much-needed life lessons like:

Coping with pressure

Time management

Importance of teamwork.

The team consisted of 6 members

Atheeb Hussain – Lead engineer

Arati. D – Graphic Designer

Nitin Josh – Resource Manager

Siddartha Vedagiri – Manufacturer.

The 3 day national finals were divided on the basis of lots from Lot A to Lot I. Sigma Racing was placed in Lot G. Sigma Racing’s campaign kicked off on the 25th of November with its Verbal presentation and design and engineering judging along with the first round of its knockout racing. Both the judging went on really well with the judges very impressed with the team’s coordination, deep understanding of the concepts, etc. Before the knockout races kicked off, there was the rectification judging where the teams would be allowed to look into their cars and make changes to the cars according to the violations that were given to them on the violation paper by the judges during the scrutineering judging. Sigma Racing was one of the 3 teams to have 0 violations in their cars. Sigma Racing had successfully qualified for the top 32 out of the 55 teams that participated in the first round of the knockout racing clocking the third-fastest reaction time of 0.21 seconds and the tenth-fastest overall race time of 1.53 seconds.

On the last and final day, Sigma Racing had their pit display judging where they would be given 90 minutes to construct a pit display that expressed Sustainability, Quality, Out of the box thinking

As said by Henry Ford, “If everyone moves forward together, success takes care of itself”.

This quote was brought to life by Sigma Racing when it had completed the Pit display on time and got applause for making one of the finest pit displays that World Finalist team member Samridh from Helios Racing has ever seen.

Last but not the least, the award ceremony. Sigma Racing being first timers shocked the whole arena by being nominated for 8 award categories namely:

Best Rookie team

Best Verbal Presentation

Best Scrutineered Car

Chair of Judges award

Best innovative thinking award

Best Research and Development

Best Digital Media

Best Team Identity Award

The Team bagged the “Best Research and development” award.

Even though the team did not make it to the world finals, each and every team member is proud of themselves for being the first and only team in South India to make it all the way through to the top 55 out of the 180 teams that participated in this prestigious competition.

CPS Thirumazhisai – SPECTRA ’22

Annual Day celebrates and awards the proud achievements of every school. Chennai Public School, Thirumazhisai held its one of a kind Annual Days, Spectra ’22 recently with Shri N. Devarajan, Chairman, Mr. Balaji Dagupati, Correspondent, Mr. Suman Babu, Director-IT, Mr. Parama Dayalan, General Manager and Ms. Aishwarya, Trustee of CPS Schools Group honouring the event. Principal, Ms. Chitrakala Ramachandran presented the annual report and young student achievers and teachers were honoured with accolades for their enormous success. Teachers and staff were awarded by our beloved Chairman for successfully completing a decade of dedicated and commendable service at Chennai Public School.

Chief Guest Mr. Kiruba Shankar, CEO, Business Blogging Pvt. Ltd. projected on the importance of giving space for children to pursue their dreams and advised the students to equip themselves with latest technology to be at par with this highly competitive modern world. The Special Guest Kalaimamani A. Zakir Hussain, Honorary Director, Dept. of Art and Culture, Govt. Music Schools, highlighted on communal tolerance and good values.

The mellifluous music, spectacular ‘Ponniyin Selvan II’, mesmerising dance performances, splendid costumes and pulsating rhythms filled the arena with vibrating energy and thrilled the audience beyond expectations bring showers of praise to the management, teachers and students for making Spectra ’22 a remarkable success.

CPS-ANNANAGAR- “DAZZLING TOES”

Pre Primary had exceptionally fabulous experience to sight with extra of lively, rattling, rolling and twisting by our little ones. Yes! It was “DAZZLING TOES” a dance competition for PP2 and PP3 children. They came dressed in  colourful costumes, twirled around and set the stage on fire with their  beautiful performance. The overloaded cuteness of their dance turned into the highlight of the event .On the whole this occasion paved yet anotherway towards happiness among our little ones  and did not fail to spread among all around, as dancing is one of the shortcuts to achieve it .
