CPS Thirumazhisai – Annual Sports Meet 2022-’23

Chennai Public School, Thirumazhisai held its 10th Annual Sports Day recently with honourable chief guest Shri. Punith Nandakumar, Indian Para Swimmer and National Awardee who shared his views on the importance of sports for being fit, healthy and disciplined. Principal Ms. Chitrakala Ramachandran, Correspondent Mr. Balaji Dagupati and Mr. Mr. Suman Babu Yerlagadda, Director IT graced the occasion. The Special Guest Mr. Krishnadeep Menon, COO – Youth and Grassroots, Chennaiyin FC inaugurated the association of Chennai Public School with Chennaiyin FC.

Flag hoisting, March past and an array of events like Fifa Fever, ProKabaddi, Joshiley Jawans, Silambam, Aerobics, Yoga, Gymnastics and Pyramid were spectacular. Trophies, medals and awards adorning the students paved the way for creating future sports stars.

CPS – Waterloo Session

CPSites enjoyed an interactive and energizing mathematics session by Prof. Surya Banerjee, mathematics professor from the Centre for Mathematics and Computing (CEMC), University of Waterloo, Canada. He taught Game Theory and its applications in economics and business using various games. Students of grades 11 and 12 experienced the power of mathematics and the sheer thrill of solving seemingly complex problems with a set of steps. Prof. Banerjee let the students solve a couple of questions coming up with possible answers.

The session covered the exciting future opportunities that are in mathematics and business.

CPS Thirumazhisai @ the School Quiz League

Out of hundred students participated from Chennai Public School, Thirumazhisai, 8 made to the Regional level amongst 42 qualified students across India in School Quiz League Season 8 ‘Pratibha Ki Khoj’ hosted by EduAce with India’s leading Quiz Master Mr. Gaurava Yadav. Melanie Veera Saldanha and Sujeet S of Class XI secured 3rd place, Regional Finale and made it to the 4th position in the National Round.

Congratulations to all the young geniuses of CPS at this moment of pride and glory!
