Around 215 students from Class 3 to Class 11 of Chennai Public School, Thirumazhisai displayed their projects as Working Models, Static Models, Charts and Activities during the first open house on 6th July 2019, Saturday. Students were zealous to explain the concept of their project to every parent. There was positive feedback from the parents expressing their views on the way the presentation was done by the students.

Students of Chennai Public School, Thirumazhisai participated in various Athletic Events at the Hima Das Sports Festival conducted by SDAT, Chetpet, Chennai. It was a proud moment for the school when students brought laurels to the school, Amanda Paul of Grade XI won Gold Medal in Long Jump, Marisha Susan Thomas of Grade XII won Gold Medal in Shot Put throw and Sddharth Satish Kumar of Grade XII won Silver Medal in Shot Put Throw.
ATL community Day was celebrated in Chennai Public School, Thirumazhisai on 13.04.2019 to commemorate Dr. B R Ambedkar’s birthday. Around 220 students participated from different non- ATL schools and Government Schools. By utilizing DIY(Do It Yourself) kits they were ngaged in three different activities (Scissor lift, Balloon powered car and Catapult) which provided a great platform to explore their levels of creativity and imagination.
Rohan Ghoshal, Divakar & Aryan Sharma of Class XI in Chennai Public School, Thirumazhisai emerged as winners in Stance Drafting at CV Ampersand – an Interschool Cultural Competition held in Chettinad Vidhyashram on 11th June 2019. Also Amanda Faith Samuel of Class X secured Second Prize in Press Journalism. Kudos Team.
‘Astra’ conducted by Bhavan’s Rajaji Vidyashram was held on 27th & 28th June 2019. Thirty five Students from Chennai Public School Thirumazhisai participated in various events. Girls Basket Ball Team of our school emerged as winners & Lakshmi of Class Ix D received a bicycle for the Best player of the tournament. Daksh Rajora and siddharth Nair of Class XI received the second prize for Vlog.
With the aim of familiarizing the parents as “Partners in Progress” Chennai Public School Thirumazhisai organised a orientation program for parents of Elementary Section where a glimpse of the Academic & Co-Curricular activities was presented. The 21st century Methodologies of teaching & learning were presented by specialist teachers to the parents. Later this was followed with the welcoming of the little urchins who walked in with all happiness & vigour.

“Education is not learning of facts, but the training of the mind to think”
An orientation programme for the parents of the Pre-Primary and Grade I & II was organized on 22nd June 2019, Saturday in Chennai Public School, Thirumazhisai. Principal Ms. Chitrkala Ramachandran, during her address emphasized on the holistic development of the child and also shared her views on social awareness which was an eye-opener for everyone. The first session initiated with Pre-primary Orientation by the coordinator Ms. Gautami Kulkarni, she oriented the parents with the concept of individualized environment based learning methodologies, curriculum and school rules and regulations. It was followed by the teachers demo to help parents understand the functioning of the various workstations in school. Parents were requested to visit different workstations after the orientation. In the next session Grade I & II parents were oriented by the Primary Coordinator Ms. Kiruthiga about the guidelines of the curriculum, rules and regulations of the school, teaching methodologies and co-scholastic activities. Parents were also briefed about inculcation of innovative teaching strategies. The program ended on a good note with an aim of raising children into happy, skillful and creatively well- adjusted citizens
We, Chennai Public School, Thirumazhisai organised workshop on Stress Relief for all the teachers on 6th June 2019 conducted by Ms. Deethi & Mr. Manoj, a Psychiatrist by profession. This workshop enabled our teachers to understand, how to cope with stress and diverse body postures. They demonstrated few strategies on how to take care of themselves and various informative tips were given. Throughout it was more rejuvenating and beneficial to all.
All teachers of Chennai Public School, Thirumazhisai, attended the workshop conducted by the Principal Mrs. Chitrakala Ramachandran on 31 April 2019. The session helped the teachers to plan meticulously for each of their 40 min lesson. Teachers were explained how to determine the Objective and success Criteria for the day. Through interesting and thought provoking activities, teachers comprehended the accurate ways of planning their lessons.
